He is currently conducting his PhD in Psychology at University of Bucharest, where he is also  teaching managerial psychology, learning psychology and parenting.

He is also working for Roma Education Fund Romania as a researcher for community development. He’s been a firefighter for more than 9 years, receiving different distinctions for commitment and sacrifice spirit. 

His talk will be on how the “proximity social capital,” which represents a strategic resource—often invisible— that acts as a resilience and change-making agent in communities.

Ider considers that individual actions, such as informal mentorship, offering support in key moments, or simply a neighbour’s emotional validation, can be understood not merely as charitable gestures, but as cognitive-behavioural interventions at a group level.
