How do you get to shine in a world that changes so fast? What are the ingredients that lead you to success? Adolescence is a critical time for everyone. Even though you may not notice, how little time is left until you find yourself out in the real world after graduation. What are you going to do to prepare yourself for this?
Attending TedxIoanid Intl HS might be a great option for one. We are more than happy to announce that Ioanid International high school is holding the first ever edition of Tedx. At this event we aim to emphasize all the pieces you need to look towards the future with confidence. Our team made of students from different grades in our school from the Cambridge system believes in the importance of building the best version of yourself before going out into the world. Collecting all those pieces you need might seem hard, but we would try to make it easy to understand for you in our event where exciting ideas get to be applied in workshops.
Building
YOU(th)
The theme, Building You(th) may seem vague, so let’s break it down. At the event we will have speakers talking about all the blocks you need to assemble a strong and confident character. One topic refers to how AI influences young people.
From impacts as imagination and attention span being weakened to avoiding to prioritize tasks because we cut corners using AI and losing the ability to make the difference between human content and AI content.
The second topic is regarding leadership, which is not an easy task, and you might struggle becoming a leader. This is why it would be useful to know that being in control of a team is usually achieved under pressure, but is much more than that. There is going to be information about how to not be overwhelmed by the responsibility of leading so many people.
By contrast, another talk will be about the significance of being part of a community and the great impact we can have on other’s lives, but we don’t always realise it. We don’t only have to change ourselves, but we can also influence others in order to have an united environment around us.
On top of that, as teenagers experiencing academic pressure from parents, teachers or even peers to have the best results or achievements, but you don’t have to. One of the topics is going to highlight how to set your own goal and decide what makes you feel successful and satisfied with yourself at the moment as well as in the future when you are going to pursue a career.
Our last talk is meant to help you get an idea of how to create a successful self brand that stands out. Because at the end of the day, it is not about how popular you are, what matters is to be confident and comfortable with yourself.
These are brief descriptions of the topics that would be approached at our event, which will be well organised into interesting speeches made by our talented speakers, helped by our team.
After all, TEDxIoanid Intl HS is the outcome of hard work and determination of our team to start something new, hopefully a tradition that will last for long. Therefore, make sure you save the date, 13th of June 2026, to attend TEDxIoanid Intl HS.

The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
About
TED
TED is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to discovering, debating and spreading ideas that spark conversation, deepen understanding and drive meaningful change. Our organization is devoted to curiosity, reason, wonder and the pursuit of knowledge — without an agenda.
We welcome people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world and connection with others, and we invite everyone to engage with ideas and activate them in your community.
TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, but today it spans a multitude of worldwide communities and initiatives exploring everything from science and business to education, arts and global issues.
In addition to the TED Talks curated from our annual conferences and published on TED.com, we produce original podcasts, short video series, animated educational lessons (TED-Ed) and TV programs that are translated into more than 100 languages and distributed via partnerships around the world.
Each year, thousands of independently run TEDx events. Through the Audacious Project, TED has helped catalyze $6.6 billion in funding for projects that support bold solutions to the world's most urgent challenges — working to make the world more beautiful, sustainable and just. In 2020, TED launched Countdown, an initiative to accelerate solutions to the climate crisis and mobilize a movement for a net-zero future, and in 2023 TED launched TED Democracy to spark a new kind of conversation focused on realistic pathways towards a more vibrant and equitable future.
